State of Alabama v. John Eubanks and Jessica Scott – Not Guilty Verdict on May 4, 2022, for 6 felony charges of Willful Abuse of a Child under 18 on, in Chilton County, Alabama.
– NOT GUILTY. A Chilton County jury came back with a verdict of NOT GUILTY on all 6 counts of child abuse that two of our clients were facing.
On Monday, May 4th, 2022, Richard White and Alex Sallas began trying this three-day jury trial. During closing arguments Richard White stated, “to convict people of a crime you have to have evidence. I’m thankful we don’t live in a country where people can be found guilty solely based on what the State says. They have to prove it. Make them prove it.”
After about 2 hours of deliberation the jury came back with a verdict of not guilty on every count.
