State of Alabama v. Fredrick Whitaker

State of Alabama v. Fredrick Whitaker – found Not Guilty after a week long Jury Trial for the charge of Murder, in Montgomery County, Alabama. The Jury came back with their verdict in 30 minutes.

Not Guilty! On December 12, 2022, a Montgomery County jury found Fredrick Whitaker not guilty of murder charges related to the shooting of Mr. James Horn. In 2016, Mr. James Horn was sadly shot and killed at his girlfriend’s home. At the time of the shooting approximately 6 people were at home, none of which were Mr. Whitaker. Although the murder occurred in 2016, Mr. Whitaker was not charged until 2019.Richard White, Mr. Whitaker’s defense attorney, believes this case came down to a lack of evidence and a web of lies. Mr. White states, “I think the credibility of the State of Alabama’s witnesses was suspect at best.” After three years of this case pending, Mr. Whitaker goes home a free man.
